# Change Plan

Workspace **`Owner`** or **`Admin`** can change the plan.

You can change the plan by clicking the **`Change plan`** button at the top of the workspace's **`Plan`** page.

## Upgrading

* In the **`Select plan`** step, select the plan and usage you want to change to, then click **`Next`**. See **`View plan details`** for details on each plan.
* In the **`Payment`** step, selecting **`Select when to apply`** as **`Apply now`** applies the change immediately, and the prorated difference for the remaining period is billed.
* If you have a coupon, enter it in **`Coupon code`** and click **`Apply`**.
* The estimated amount is shown split into **`Estimated recurring payment amount`** and **`Amount due now`**; after checking, click **`Pay`** to complete the upgrade.

## Downgrading

* As with upgrading, select what you want to change in the **`Select plan`** step.
* In the **`Payment`** step, select **`Select when to apply`** as **`Apply from the next billing date`** and click **`Schedule change`** to schedule the change.
* A downgrade is not applied immediately; it takes effect from the next billing date. Prorated refunds are not provided.
* Downgrading may be restricted depending on conditions, in which case a **`Downgrade unavailable`** notice is shown.

## Previewing the Change Amount

* While a plan change is scheduled, the button at the top of the plan page is shown as **`Plan change scheduled`**; clicking it lets you preview the estimated payment amount.
* Along with **`Scheduled change date`**, the **`Current payment amount`** and **`New payment amount`** for each of **`Workspace tier`**, **`Workspace seats`**, and **`Assistant`** are shown.
* Prepaid items such as the prorated amount for the remaining period are not shown in the preview since they have already been paid; see [Billing History](/docs/guide/en/subscription/invoice.md) to check them.
* The payment amount shown is the **`VAT included`** price.
